Another piece I can’t show until it hits store shelves. I’m not allowed to talk about the client either, but I don’t think I’ll get in too much trouble showing this little piece of the painting… I hope.
The badge is incredible. It looks like actual thread. It doesn’t get any more realistic than that. Can’t wait to see the final piece.
Thanks, I can’t wait to show it.
Sick – A – Ning!!
I remember seeing your tweet a while back about landing a Hasbro contract, didn’t know it would be this! G.I. JOE’s were the only toys i ever bought by them. I had every action figure they made back then… even the hooded Cobra you had to mail-in for. They’ve discontinued all of the classic characters and outfits but, it’s still a childhood favorite for me. This painting is dope, it definitely reps like the cartons the figures used to come in.
You tease!!! Can you show the whole painting now? I’m dying to know who this is supposed to be.
I love your work and thanks for sharing some of the process and thoughts behind your amazing art.
Man, you and me both. I can’t show until the NDA is up with Hasbro. This figure hasn’t been released yet, so I can’t show. The good side is, it’s a cool figure! The bad is, I have no idea when it will hit store shelves. That’s kind of the downside to my job. I just finished 30 figure illustrations for a WB television show and can’t show them either! Legal department, what can ya do? Thanks for the comment, keep em coming!
Well, I for one can’t wait to see it.
Thanks again for sharing. Your art really brings the figures to life.
[…] So for you 12″ fans out there, or you Joe fans who just love the package art, there you go. You can see the original post on Mike’s excellent blog right here. […]
Nice job, really like those art works. I hope we could order posters of your works or compile them into one coffee table book. As for this art work I’ll guess that this is an arctic Stalker, the one that came with a kayak. Thanks for sharing and God bless.
